Särskilt tandvårdsstöd

I Sverige betalar Försäkringskassan en del av patienternas tandvård.  

Särskilt tandvårdsbidrag finns till för personer som lever med vissa sjukdomar eller äter mediciner som kan leda till en försämrad munhälsa.  

Det är Försäkringskassan som betalar ut bidraget, som uppgår till 600 kronor per halvår. Det betalas ut 1 januari och 1 juli och om du inte nyttjat bidraget under halvåret försvinner det, det går alltså inte att spara.  

Syftar till förebyggande åtgärder 

Bidraget går att nyttja på allmäntandvård och förebyggande åtgärder, som exempelvis tandstensborttagning, en undersökning eller rengöring. 

Hur vet jag om jag är berättigad bidraget? 

För att ta reda på om du är berättigad det särskilda tandvårdsbidraget kan du prata med din tandläkare. Tandläkaren gör en bedömning utifrån sjukdom, medicinering och munhälsa. Du behöver själv inte ansöka om bidraget utan du behöver ta med sjukintyget till tandläkaren som sedan sköter allt med Försäkringskassan. Du behöver också fylla 24 år under året du kan börja nyttja bidraget.

  • Muntorrhet på grund av medicinering eller strålbehandling 
  • Sjögrens syndrom 
  • Ulcerlös colit 
  • Crohns sjukdom
  • Svårinställd diabetes  
  • Tarmsvikt

2020 Statistics

While some are more specific to gender, breast cancer is something that also strikes some men. These four types of cancer make up about half of the cancer cases throughout Canada. For women, breast cancer equates to 25% of the common cancers. For men, prostate cancer comes in at 20%. Lung cancer, which strikes both

genders, makes up 14%, and colorectal cancer, which also strikes men and women, is 12%.

Canada is fortunate to have many different charities that focus on several kinds of cancer. For those who want to support the fight against cancer in general, there are many opportunities to do this. There is the Canadian Cancer Society or the Princess Margaret Hospital, to name a couple of many.

Some of those that are cancer-specific are: 

* For Lung Cancer: Lung Cancer, Canada. Their mandate is the provision of information and creating public awareness. Lung Health Foundation: This is dedicated to research for lung cancer. 

* For Breast Cancer: There is the BCFR, which focuses on breast cancer research. Another one dedicated to research is BSCR. 

* For Colorectal Cancer: Colorectal Cancer Canada. This is a not-for-profit organization that puts a heavy emphasis on awareness. 

* Prostate Cancer: Prostate Cancer Canada. As the name implies, this is a charity that is passionate about beating this form of cancer.

In many cases, those making donations to a cancer charity will pick the one they can relate to the most. For example, suppose they are a breast cancer survivor. In that case, that will spur them into supporting charities focusing on this particular cancer
